Etro Resort 2016 Collection

Cruises and resort vacations are on our minds and Etro is here to save the day when it comes to choosing the best in sexy apparel to match our fun and vivacious personalities. We need something that would be a reflection of who we are, our status in society, along with allowing for enjoyment, seduction in the night and trendy fashion sense inspirations during the day. While this particular Etro resort 2016 collection is not really on the sexy side, it does have much that captivates us and has us thinking of chic comfort and flirty responses. Then again, some of them might be good to scare off potential dates as well.

Etro Resort 2016 Collection

Fresh is certainly a word we would use with this collection, despite it being fresh in an unconventional manner. The summer prints and relaxed silhouettes speak of selfish moments under the sun, enjoying the weather, the vacation and the all-inclusive drinks that come with the reservation. The year of 2016 is set to be one awesome time period and the modern ease with which Etro presents this line-up has us having enjoyable thoughts about the coming months. In talking about the collection, creative director Veronica Etro states, “I mixed the colorful and joyful patterns of Matisse with the house trademark: the paisley design.” Between the different motifs and all that is expected to be found in a collection full of flamboyant graphics, she really did find the right balance in this instance.

The Etro resort 2016 collection includes large floral patterns, prints that are an added bold touch to the look, particularly to the fabric that is a fluid double crepe de chine for the pants. We see pairing with casual viscose and cotton sweaters, as well as oversized ruffled blouses. There is a mink fur intarsia jacket with marabou details on it. The whole collection is very artsy and reminds us of something an Art history major would be wearing to class, and perhaps on her vacation to Italy to study the Florentine masters of the artistic world. There is even a crepe de chine artistically designed two piece dress, which is a slip style garment featuring it stitched to a T-shirt; we also see a rather gorgeous collarless silk georgette top that includes a good amount of intricate embroideries on the sleeves, matched up with a gorgeous crepe de chine maxi skirt in order to perfect the boho chic effect.

Bright colors rock in this collection that includes peaches and magenta, blue hues and oranges, reds and yellows, interesting splatters of black and white, alongside the purples and the tanzanite, the green and the kunzite. The bold use of prints is certainly to be enjoyed, while we are happy to see the simpler ankle cut pants paired with a white blouse. It is a lovely fashion line and we cannot wait to add a few of these pieces to our vacation suitcases that have slowly but surely been filling up as we contemplate our trips on cruises and at lovely Caribbean or Mediterranean resorts.
