Fall 2015 Runway Inspired Nail Art Designs
The fall/ winter 2015-2016 nail trends provide us with so many amazing ideas to coat our nails with interesting textures and patterns come the cold months, however, our inspiration doesn’t stop here. The fall 2015 fashion week shows brought a plethora of cool prints and patterns featured on the accessories and clothing pieces, and if you switch on your fantasy you can actually come up with creative intricate nail designs inspired from those motifs. From Dolce & Gabbana and Valentino to Versace and Gucci, each and every fashion house presented a unique theme of patterns that we have taken as a source of inspiration to create these fantastic looks. These fall 2015 runway inspired nail art designs can be your go-to beauty guide for taking your party and day-to-day looks to a whole new level, turning your fingertips into powerful complementing details for your outfits day in, day out!
1. Giambattista Valli Floral Nails
We loved the blooming Giambattista Valli fall show to bits, from the ultra-girly shapes presented to the pretty lace, ruffles and tiny floral prints that gave a high dose of innocence to the overall collection. It’s ethereal, romantic and so fabulous and we can’t stop dreaming about those beautiful patterns spotted. The soft color palette of nudes and pastel tones contrasted with touches of black provides a stunning background for adding flower and zig-zag patterns to your nails reflecting the theme of the collection.
2. Gucci Inspired Floral and Geometric Nail Art
The Gucci fall 2015 show was the highlight of the entire fashion month with the brand’s new creative director Alessandro Michele debuting his designs. It was definitely impressive, a one-of-a-kind collection mixing androgynous vibes with feminine floral patterns. From the color palette used to the flirty prints and the interesting way of putting these two together, Gucci’s new collection is positively stunning to say the list and we have imagined a cool way of embracing it beauty wise as well. To copy this nail design, you’ll need super-thin detailing brushes, nail polishes and acrylic paints, which make the overall nail polish application a much fun and creative process.
3. Dolce & Gabbana’s Motherhood Inspired Nail Designs
Can there be a more perfect theme for a fashion line than motherhood? Dolce & Gabbana uses the best inspiration ever to give bright to one utterly bright, creative and lovely collection we can’t help falling in love with. Of course, we saw some very impressive prints and patterns that we want to use on our nails, from those childhood Crayola drawings and lush floral motifs to the fun messages worshipping mamma. Combined together these create a super intricate and out-of-this-world nail art design that is perfect especially for special occasions!
4. Olympia Le Tan’s Ballerina Nail Art
Ballerina was the pretty theme of the Olympia Le Tan super-girly fall collection and we saw so many awe-inspiring prints and patterns used to enhance those flirty clothing pieces. While the color palette was kept in lovely pastel tones mainly, it was the curious prints that made our hearts melt. Although not all of us can afford having those pretty designs, we have found a good way of experimenting with those lovely patterns! Draw them on your nails and show off your fashion-forward mind!
5. Burberry Prorsum Floral Nail Art
The 1970s continue to rule the fashion world and Burberry Prorsum is one fashion house that paid tribute to the era bringing lots of fringe, suede and boho-hippie inspired clothing pieces mostly featuring beautiful floral patterns. Flower nail designs never lose their power in the beauty world and you’ll hardly ever get tired of this theme, since there are so many ways of embracing the trend. The floral motifs spotted at Burberry represent one good nail art look we want to wear over and over again!
6. Valentino Inspired Dreamy Nails
When it’s Valentino, it’s always fairy-tale like dreamy, romantic and beautiful! This refers to both the shapes and the motifs used to enhance the designs and this year’s collection was no exception. Alongside those eye-popping Op art prints, the Italian fashion house showed touches of flowers and butterfly motifs that instantly cats a spell on us. We have envisioned a pretty floral + butterfly nail design inspired from the runway show of Valentino that you might like to copy!
7. Tom Ford Inspired Californian Rainbow Patterned Nails
This year Tom Ford moved its fall fashion show from London to Los Angeles to present a beautiful collection drenched in the colorful Californian patterns we all love so much. We saw some wild animal prints as well, but it was those colorful swirls on the evening dresses and patchwork denim skirts that we admired so much. Combined together, they make a wonderful nail design that’s perfect both for summer and winter months.
8. Emilio Pucci Inspired Zodiac Nail Art Design
While Gucci welcomed a new creative director, Emilio Pucci had to say farewell to Peter Dundas, who turned to zodiac signs to show his last collection for the house. The busy zodiac symbols were featured both on floor-length evening dresses and on those knitted mini sweater-dresses, mostly coming in black, white and red or black, white and blue shades. It’s creative to say the least and why not use these patterns on your nails?
9. Christian Dior Inspired Marble Nail Design
We are always left spellbound after each and every Dior fashion show and the luxury fashion house’s latest line-up literally made our jaws drop! Boy oh boy, we loved those feminine shapes combined with futuristic materials, edgy colors and marble patterning, which we hurried up to picture on our nails. The result? A fun marble nail art design that’s playing in the zone of complementing bright colors!
10. Marc by Marc Jacobs Inspired Plaid Nail Art
Last February we witnessed the last show of the Marc by Marc Jacobs brand, as the more youthful line of the luxury fashion house has folded into the main line. The models were stylish warriors dressed in layered dresses using tartan patterning and nature inspired motifs mostly coming in black, red and yellow tones. Both the colors and prints look too appealing to be ignored and we have used them for this bold nail design!
11. Versace Inspired Grecian Nail Design
Versace goes even bolder this year using its signature Grecian patterns put in bright shades, as well as emoji motifs symbolizing the development of the digital age. The bright colors of green, yellow and red looked rather amusing in combination with black and while wearing some of those designs may be quite overwhelming for those more into the minimalist style, you can always use these shades and patterns in your daily nail art looks!
12. Marc Jacobs Inspired Artistic Nail Art
Diana Vreeland’s Billy Baldwin-decorated apartment was the inspiration behind this dark and beautiful collection, which showed so many amazing patterns that can be easily incorporated into your nail art. We have picked those artistic brushstrokes as the main motifs for this nail design, which is super easy and fun and requires minimum amount of effort and time for doing. You can change the colors used to cater to your specific likings.
13. Dsquared2 Inspired Ethnic Nail Design
It’s all about ethnic patterns and prints for Dsquared2 this year, which gives us endless possibilities when it comes to fun nail art designs. These patterns create a bold and busy mani that can be an amazing finishing detail for your monochrome outfits. The colors are slightly subdued being more appropriate for the colder months, however, you’re always welcome to change them according to your personal tastes.
14. Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2015 Show Inspired Nails
The Diane von Furstenberg woman is seductive and passionate at night, wearing pretty dresses featuring lots of lace, soft fabrics, bold colors and patterns. Red and black are known as a classic color pair that never tires, and when using passionate floral patterning combined with dots, the outcome is something even bolder and more dramatic. We like the message behind these dresses and we want our nails to convey it as well!
15. Michael Kors Inspired Manicure for Fall 2015
The Michael Kors fall 2015 rtw collection is one of our favorites for the season, as we love the colors used there, the prints, the interesting textural plays and the genius way of matching feminine and masculine elements in single looks. The colors and patterns we have picked out of the collection for this nail design give a lovely retro feel to the nails, being especially ideal for wearing in fall. Adjust the shades according to your outfits and wear this gorgeous mani day in, day out!
16. Moschino Inspired Pop Culture Nail Art
Jeremy Scott loves citing pop culture in his collections and for his fall 2015 Moschino collection he turned to the Hip Hop world to bring fun and creative looks that instantly took the fashion world by storm! He showed a series of brightly colored sweater-dresses featuring cartoonish prints that let us embrace our childhood memories using them in our day-to-day nail art as well. Add street art motifs to the mix and you’re ready to make heads turn as you pass by!
